Hi, I'm Ioana!
Being human is hard sometimes. Therapy should help—not make it harder. If you’re looking for real, down-to-earth therapy (without the clinical stiffness), you’re in the right place.
I work with adults and teens navigating a variety of mental health struggles. My approach is deeply relational and flexible—I draw from IFS (Internal Family Systems), Polyvagal theory, Somatic Experiencing, narrative therapy, EMDR, and Gottman, adapting in real time to meet you exactly where you are.
One of the most important things to know about me is that I show up as a real person first, and a therapist second. I don’t believe in hierarchy—I believe in collaboration. You bring the lived experience—I bring the tools, curiosity, and support. Together, we make sense of your story in a way that feels grounded and real.
My sessions are built on authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. I integrate a lot of psychoeducation along the way to reduce shame, build understanding, and help you feel empowered in your own process. Whether you’re working through trauma, navigating neurodivergence, or just trying to make sense of it all—I hold a space where all parts of you are welcome.
Hi, I’m Alex!
Before becoming a therapist-in-training, I spent 14 years in law enforcement, including time as a tactical team leader. That experience gave me a deep understanding of what it’s like to carry high stress, witness trauma firsthand, and still try to show up like everything’s fine. I know how hard it can be to take the first step into therapy—and how important it is to feel safe when you do.
In our work together, my focus is on creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and never judged. I believe trust is the foundation of healing, and I show up with empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand your experience—not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you make sense of it all.
If you're navigating trauma or struggling to feel at home in your own mind or body, you're not alone—and you don't have to figure it out by yourself.
